Great Samsung Giveaways | Samsung Galaxy A8

Finally! Got my new phone! ^_^
Samsung Galaxy A8

My Samsung Galasy S3 which I bought 3 years ago just died last week
after restoring it a lot of times to factory default.
I still love my Samsung Galaxy S3 & will still try to have it repaired.

I was choosing from 3 of their latest mobile phones which are
the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, and this Samsung Galaxy A8.

I chose this Samsung Galaxy A8, the specs are a little close to both
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 & Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+,
it's just that this has only 2G RAM, and that's why it's the cheapest among the 3.
And I bought this phone with a lot of freebies.

here's a complete phone specifications from gsmarena.com

Battery life

now here's what I got in the box with the phone.

A Wall charger with detachable micro USB cable.
Batteries are fixed and cannot be opened.

And an in-ear headset with 3 different sizes of earbuds.

I am not very sure, but I think this screen protector is also from the box.
Sorry I didn't notice because I purchased a 0.26 mm tempered glass screen protector.

Also there's a pin included that you have to use in order to open
the sim and the microSD slots.

Now here are the freebies from their "Great Samsung Giveaways" promo.

A 5,000 mAh Powerbank

Ultra-slim and lightweight design with dual USB ports,
and can charge up to two full charges.
The box includes a micro USB cable and a multi-functional pouch.

It's also indicated in their promo ad that they're
giving over Php 1,000 worth of Zing vouchers.

I didn't received any vouchers but I got this

A 16GB SanDisk microSDHC card.
Sorry, the card is already in my phone.

One thing that made me sad is that I have to change my mobile number.
I've been using that globe prepaid number since my college days,
and my phone during that time is the Nokia 3210. Those were the days, hahah! :p

The Samsung Galaxy A8 has 2 slots.
The first slot is for the nano sim and
the second slot is for either your 2nd sim or a mircoSD card.

And so I bought this Globe prepaid sim which has 3 different cut or what they call the Tri-cut. Bought this prepaid sim for P50 though the pack shows only P40, another store was actually selling it for P65.

What's yours? Feel free to share here. Thank you! ^_^
